Dedication

Dedicated to - All those are for world peace and against nuclear weapons.

Preface

There are continuing battles and duels in some part or other of the world. Simultaneously the environment and nature directly or indirectly are on ruination. Nature herself is reacting to it in various shapes. The bio-, chemical-, and nuclear-weapons are added to it. In the least the atomic tests and experiments are going on. Radiation is destroying the natural environment. The peoples of the world are threatened with nuclear war. Thus atomic war may occur at any moment. This will surely invite doomsday. The human race is threatened with this destruction.

Thus act against nature, environment and humanity need be protested by all and all should develop a hatred towards nuclear war and manufacture of weapons. Hence as a mark of protest my points, composed recently, are dedicated to all the ardent peace promoters with a view to organizing world conscience.

I am grateful to all those who helped publish those poems in various ways.

Sincerely,
Uttam Kumar Barua

Forests and Thickets

Dense forests and thickets are sobbing now
This planet is surrounded by destructive germs and poisons
Crisis of fresh air goes on every where
Due to this dust, mists, and lead sulphide
Nitrus oxide, carbon mono oxide are found here and there
The entire sun is covered and its light is diminished.
If there is only cloud and cluster of clouds stay in the sky
How the bright sunlight can reach to the earth?
Also in those clouds have no water but the acid particles.
Holes in the ozone roof are increased
It does not protect the shower of ultra violet ray particles
How the nature could repair this ozone roof again!
Oh men! Stop the use of CFC; burning of petroleum and atomic fuel
Other wise my crying will be spread up every where
By replace of your laughter soon.
Oh men! Yet there is a lot of time
To cover every corner of this earth, this planet
With the forests and thickets.
